We’ve been moving from the Lower 48 back to Alaska, and this is the best hotel we’ve stayed in all week. Great service, and the rooms are so clean/well kept (especially compared to everything else we’ve stayed in). It looks as though the last remodel was in the 80s, but it’s so well maintained and in excellent condition. It just shows how much effort the owners are putting into their business. And honestly, the 80s feel makes it cosy/nostalgic for me. It does smell a bit musty/has the old house smell, but I think they try hard to air it out. Point being: they try hard, and it shows. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
